Job Summary: We are looking for a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct care and support to elderly residents, particularly those with dementia, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role does not require the administration of medication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility, including transfers and positioning.
- Help residents with daily living activities, ensuring they maintain a sense of independence and dignity.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including tidying rooms and common areas.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental health to the Care Manager.
- Follow individualized care plans and ensure all care provided aligns with residents' needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with other care staff and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent and effective care.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a Care Assistant role, preferably working with the elderly or dementia patients.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges associated with elderly and dementia care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calmness.

Working Hours:
- Flexible shifts available, including full-time and part-time positions. Usually 8am-8pm
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
