About the role The DBA Programme Administrator supports the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA): Higher Education Management. The role involves all aspects of programme admissions as well as administration of the taught- and the research-stages of the programme – an exciting mix of responsibilities, rarely found in other programme administrative roles. The DBA is a higher-regarded professional doctorate, delivered by one of the UK's best business schools.  It provides a unique focus on Higher Education Management, designed specifically for university leaders and managers, based around the world. Students develop research skills relevant to higher education managers, combining knowledge gained on the programme with professional practice in their workplace. About you Working with the Programme Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the programme is administered efficiently and effectively, taking responsibility for making sure that tasks occur in a timely manner and according to all relevant University regulations.  You will also be in regular communication with students and potential applicants and be a key point of contact for the programme across the University. Responsibilities also include supporting the various residentials which occur at key times of the year. You will be part of the wider Doctoral College and will work collaboratively with academic and other professional service colleagues, to support and enhance the experience of all applicants to, and students on, the programme. The Doctoral College provides an exciting opportunity to network with fellow administrators supporting all doctoral programmes across the university, including four other professional doctorate programmes. We are looking for someone who: has a strong eye for detail and an interest in maintaining clear and accurate records is able to manage a busy workload to meet deadlines on your own initiative. is keen to learn new systems and procedures, and to implement positive changes has excellent communication skills, and can interact / engage with the wide range of individuals and groups connected to the programme. Further information This role is a part-time position (29.2 hours per week) on a permanent basis. We currently operate a hybrid model such that staff can mix working from home and in the office on campus.
