Ddat Business Relationship Manager

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is looking for aDDaT Business Relationship Manager (Digital, Data and Technology) to join us and enhance our excellent team based in Exeter. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week). In return you will receive a competitive salary of GBP50,512 - GBP54,279 (Grade 9 subject to the conclusion of Job Evaluation) per annum.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute and lead digital transformation within the Fire Service, helping change how it operates with technology. You will be leading the Business Relationship Team ensuring our customer service is exemplary whilst ensuring the best use of Subject Matter Experts in the wider department.

As our DDaT Business Relationship Manager you will oversee a new function within the department giving you an excellent opportunity to work alongside the Head of DDaT to build a team that which will provide our departments customer and business facing functions. The role will see you engaging across the whole of the Service with all departments and with our Operational staff.

Key responsibilities as an DDaT Business Relationship Manager:

• Leading an effective Business Relationship team, supporting in the delivery of a new Digital Transformation Strategy. Ensuing we embrace new technologies and enhance what is already in place
• Alongside colleagues you will review our systems, applications and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Provide exceptional customer service to the Service and bring together ideas and thinking on Digital technology
• To challenge the ways in which the Fire Service approaches the designs of new Services taking a continual improvement approach to developing Best Practice and process improvements
• Line manage the Business Relationship team, ensuring that workloads are allocated and prioritised appropriately, work plans agreed, expectations are clearly communicated, and feedback is regularly provided
• Actively lead relationship management key stakeholders ensuring effective, and efficient systems are in place and the required services are delivered on time and in full, by KPI's and SLA's
• Lead and advise in the maintenance and continuous improvement of development technologies, processes and integration in collaboration with colleagues across the team and the wider Service
• To act as a mentor and coach to the Business Relationship team, providing experience and SME across the DDAT Department, in order to propagate Best Practice

What we are looking for in our DDaT Business Relationship Manager:

• Strong team leadership, with the ability to effectively mentor and motivate others
• Customer first approach
• Good knowledge and experience working knowledge of modern development tools and technologies, including but not limited to M365
• Knowledge and understanding of project management and change management methodologies
• Ability to work with partner organisations at an operational level to identify and exploit opportunities for collaboration on Service Development
• Clear understanding of security and confidentiality of information, whether computer based or otherwise in line with legislation
• Proven ability in the field of Business Relationship and a good understanding of Digital principles
• Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to ensure deadlines are meet
• High level of communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
