Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E+ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

We are looking for top talent to build and scale the next generation of technologies, products and services to help our customers build a better—more sustainable—world. We need self-motivated, intelligent and team-oriented individuals to make our plans a reality. Individuals with high emotional intelligence, humility and openness to discovery will thrive in the teams we are building.

The opportunity:

As the Dealer Electrification Readiness (DER) Manager, you will work within the Product Support team in the E+ES division and own the development and deployment of Electrification Readiness with Cat dealers. You will be responsible for leading a global team of senior consultants in the development, execution, and governance of multi-function action plans with dealers to sell and service battery electric machines, and support go-to-market services.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work with dealers, customers, and our internal enterprise partners to identify opportunities and drive alignment. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with a high level of change as we learn to adjust to new inputs, experience, and a changing business landscape.

You will be a key leader in driving testing and adoption of new services, while gathering and communicating the voice of the dealer and customer, helping Caterpillar to improve the quality and market acceptance of our services.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of senior consultants covering North America and Europe, with likely future expansion to other regions.  Drive strong engagement and employee experience for the team.

  • Advocate for and gain commitment to E+ES electrification products and services strategies with dealers, helping to grow the population of electrified products and services in the market.

  • Effectively engage internal and external business partners across Caterpillar to ensure alignment and consistency with our dealers.

  • Drive alignment with dealers on key capabilities, across multiple functions, to support electrification and develop and execute action plans to implement those capabilities.

  • Develop rigorous, structured deployment project plans, governance, VOD, and communications.

  • Support and contribute to deployment prioritisation globally – help select and engage dealers for future deployments.

  • Drive development and continuous improvement of Dealer Electrification Readiness documentation, such as a Playbook, to improve clarity and support scaling of dealers.

What you have:

  • Experience in field-based roles, working directly with dealers and customers.

  • Demonstrated skills in leading and deploying significant strategies, programs, or initiatives – project management, dependency management, and communications.

  • Demonstrated skills in influence, courage, and emotional intelligence to drive buy-in and overcome objections.

  • Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success.

  • Ability to work with uncertainty and pioneer new processes.

  • Services development or digital/agile development experience.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Knowledge of sustainability and electrification initiatives, products, and services.

Additional Information:

  • This position will close on 1/14/2024 at 11:59PM.

  • Travel requirements may be up to 40%.

  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
