Decision Science Analyst/ Senior Analyst- 2 days a week Chester- £38K- £55K

My Client is looking for a Decision Science Analyst to join their business and be a key player in driving data-driven decision-making through the development and implementation of advanced analytical models. The primary focus will be on leveraging statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modelling to provide actionable insights that guide strategic initiatives and enhance overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance credit risk models to assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants.

Lead the design, development, and deployment of predictive models to support business decision-making.

Utilise statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to create models for credit risk assessment, customer segmentation, and other strategic areas.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust analytical solutions.

Conduct analysis of large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in modelling methodologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of Decision Science.

Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Provide clear and concise communication of complex modelling concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management and modelling processes within the organisation.

Key Requirements:

      Experience in an insight analysis or modelling role.

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.

Proficiency in SAS or SQL coding for data extraction, manipulation, and modelling.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to convey complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.

Familiarity with financial services, credit risk, and regulatory environments is desirable.
