Decontamination Supervisor (Endoscopy)
London: The London Bridge Hospital   
Full time, 37.5 hours per week    
Shift times: Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to cover the hours or 7am – 6pm & flexibility required to meet demands of Department)  

Permanent contract   
Salary: up to £31,579 depending on experience plus 4% shift allowance 

    

We’re looking for a Decontamination supervisor to join the Endoscopy Team at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.    

    

As a Decontamination supervisor in our Endoscopy department, you will co-ordinate the endoscopy decontamination area in the London Bridge Hospital; ensuring availability of endoscopic equipment, such as AER, drying cabinets and endoscopes.  
As the Decontamination supervisor you will work in conjunction with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit, to ensure the unit is staffed appropriately and that all staff are trained to meet the demands of the service. 
You will assist in the administrative management of Validation and Service co-ordination of decontamination equipment in line with HTM 

  

Our JAG Accredited Endoscopy unit, based in St Olaf House, London Bridge Hospital, offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures - ERCP, EUS, POEM, EBUS  

  

As a member of Staff within endoscopy you will have educational opportunities and be part of our exciting year ahead with expansion to 3 endoscopy procedure rooms and unit refurbishment  

  

Rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC, the London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent.

  • Working knowledge of sterile services procedures  

  • Decontamination qualification  

  • Excellent communication skills
