Job description

We are looking for a Decorator to join our Facilities team at Harrods.Our Facilities and Operations teams keep our iconic Knightsbridge store running smoothly 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This team are present 24/7 to look after everything from state-of-the-art installations to our 170 plus years old heritage features, all to make sure Harrods is always ready to serve its customers.

About the Role

As a Decorator, your role will be to maintain Harrods to a high standard, carrying out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks as required.

As part of this experienced and supportive team, you will be responsible for responding quickly and efficiently, whilst prioritising urgent activities which effect health and safety, operational stability and brand reputation. You will attend meetings, presentations, toolbox talks and discussions regarding day-to-day activities, projects and other matters as requested.

Ultimately, your job is help keep Harrods is top working order and looking pristine. You will be working nights, on a rota basis, with a team around you.

About You

You will have experience in carpentry, tiling, roof repairs, flooring and locksmith tasks and be fully conversant with all relevant regulations (this can be trained).

You will have:

  • Minimum - certificate of City + Guilds in Painting and Decoration
  • On-hand experience in painting and decoration
  • Confident to respond efficiently to faults
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and make quick and accurate decisions
