Salary: Circa £95,000 depending on experience

Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work 2-3 days on-site or with the customer.
The opportunity:
As Defence and Political Adviser for Air, you will provide advice and support on all aspects of defence, government and external relations relevant to the Air domain.
Working collaboratively, you will ensure the continuous acquisition of information to ensure that the customer's short, medium and long term goals and requirements are understood. Acquiring, analyzing and verifying information gained on customer issues in the Air domain that potentially have implications for MBDA, through intelligence gathering, networking, developing and nurturing existing relationships and the creation of new ones.
The Role:

• You will work closely with the UK Sales and Business Development Head of Air Domain and the Director when appropriate to assist with domestic and Export campaigns and related Customer Relations' activities.
• Provide an Air link into the FLC (all levels), MOD HQ and Defence Attaches organisations to promote a sound, trusted working relationship as part of the CW PMA principle.

• Maintain an overview of developments in the wider Defence and Political arena in both UK and abroad.
• Support other MBDA customer interfaces as required, in particular air related visits, and relevant Defence exhibitions such as Farnborough and Paris Airshow, DSEI, RIAT, and RAF F&F Days.

What we're looking for from you:

• A high level of operational and tactical knowledge including all aspects of air launched weapons.
• Understanding of Air related organisations of Defence and Armed Forces, structures and capability requirements.
• Understanding and knowledge of UK Defence Acquisition structures and processes.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of MBDA products and their respective positioning and benefits as regards competitors.
• General staff military experience at the OF6 level or equivalent.
• Ability to engage with RAF SLT and recent MoD and/or Air Command experience.
• Knowledge of international affairs and the ability to work in an international environment.
