The role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Secondary Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in local secondary schools across the Scunthorpe area. Free, in depth training will be provided if you have no prior experience.

We are working with a number of mainstream and specialist school settings across Stockton and surrounding areas. Our partnering Secondary schools are seeking graduates and enthusiastic individuals to work as Cover Supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on daily supply or in longer fixed term supply contracts. This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience working within a Secondary school. Although experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable this is not essential, Vision offers a comprehensive training programme to new Cover Supervisors.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for covering classes in a secondary schools within your local area. You will be tasked with leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. The lesson will always be planned and it is your job to facilitate the classes learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful Cover Supervisors are adaptable, flexible, motivated and organised, they have a passion for education and supporting young people.

You will have the opportunity to work in schools across Scunthorpe and surrounding areas.

Requirements
To be considered for the position of Cover Supervisor, you will:work in education.

• A passion to work in education.
• The confidence to lead a class of around 30 students.
• A commitment to undertake the training programme.
