Delivery Director

We seek a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Delivery Director. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of programmes for our key public sector client. The Delivery Director will be accountable for delivering programs under budget, ensuring top-quality results, and driving innovation within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Portfolio Management:
  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of programs for our public sector client, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines and budgets. Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for programme execution, aligning with organisational and customer goals.
  People Management:
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Implement effective performance management practices and provide constructive feedback.
  Customer Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Understand customer needs and expectations to ensure delivery meets or exceeds their requirements. Proactively communicate with customers to address concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.
  Business Drivers:
  • Align Account growth strategies with overarching business objectives, focusing on improving the bottom line. Analyse and interpret business data to make informed decisions and recommendations. Implement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to overall business success.
  Financial Accountability:
  • Manage program budgets effectively, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and delivering programs under budget. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or innovation.
  Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging team members to explore new ideas and technologies. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Experience:

• Demonstrable track record of leadership experience in large-scale programme/portfolio management (£15m+), preferably within the government sector. Experience working in CNI platforms is a bonus. Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing diverse teams. Programme Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale programmes, including planning, execution, and delivery, while considering risks, dependencies, and compliance requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, build consensus, and manage expectations. People Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and promoting a positive work environment. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills to identify risks, dependencies, and challenges and develop effective solutions and mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen and experience managing budgets. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
