About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our PMO team. In this critical, highly visible role, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and delivery of all activities for projects.
The Delivery Manager supports multiple cross-functional product teams (squads).
Within this role you will be:
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams and other stakeholders to define project objectives, scope and requirements.
- Management and tracking of cross team/squad dependencies.
- Management and tracking of all high-integrity commitments.
- Create and manage project backlogs, ensuring that user stories are well defined, prioritised and ready for development.
- Monitor project progress, track key metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders, adjusting plans as needed to meet project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, removing obstacles and ensuring the team has the resources they need to succeed.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocations, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources.
- Constantly looking to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalates when needed.
- Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress.
- Encourages a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment. Encourages team trust and facilitates team building events.
About You
- Good general understanding of how large-scale software systems are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers.
- Good general understanding of the role of product managers, product designers, engineers, quality assurance, devops and product marketer
- Strong experience working in the engineering organization of a product company using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
- PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Agile Project Manager (CAPM) qualifications are desirable.
- Experience in Financial Services, preferably including BACS, direct debits, payment cards, prepaid and cash transactions is desirable.
- Proven effective communication, interpersonal and collaborations skills - essential.
- Have proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity - essential.
- Proven proficiency in project management software and tools - essential.
- Proven experience in the ability to facilitate and support decision making to drive plans forward to successful delivery - essential.
This role requires flexibility to provide ad-hoc out of hours additional support during major incidents where the business need demands it.
