Job description

The Demand Planning Team is responsible for creating and maintaining the company's demand forecast and is a key bridge between the supply chain and commercial functions

Client Details

The hiring company is a well-established firm in the FMCG industry, employing a large workforce across multiple locations.

Description

  • Coordinate the submission of forecast data from the commercial teams within a defined region.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of historical data and market insights to validate the commercial forecast and generate a consensus demand forecast.
  • Take ownership of the consensus demand forecast, and maintain it in the system to drive the correct production and purchasing requirements
  • Monitor, analyse and report on product demand trends.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure supply meets demand.
  • Prepare and present demand forecasts to senior management.
  • Contribute to procurement and supply chain planning processes.
  • Identify potential challenges and propose solutions.
  • Leverage data analysis tools and techniques to drive decision making.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Profile

  • Degree educated (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their connection with the broader business, including Commercial and Finance
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook to an advanced level
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
