Demand Planner
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office in Felling, Gateshead and 2 days from home

Job Purpose
Your role will be to help the business achieve targets by facilitating the forecasting and demand planning process in the European region. We will look to you to ensure that high level forecasts from the business are translated into detailed product forecasts and supply plans. You will also track performance against KPI’s, produce regular reporting and identify solutions to barriers to success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate data for planning meetings.
- Oversee weekly/monthly Demand Reviews with Sales and/or Customer Service team.
- Help the business / region achieve its targets of sales volume/revenue/margin whilst maintaining OTIF at or above target and inventory & SLOB performance in line with latest plans
- Lead and support SLOB reduction demand initiative for the region including root cause analysis
- Tracks performance in all main KPIs impacting the function and performs full root cause analysis where we deviate from target
- Regular reporting of sales progression through the month and providing updates and solutions on key barriers that prevent achievement of monthly targets
- Feed forecasts into the relevant systems.
- Support the Supply Planning team with SKU safety stock, product classification & master planning settings.
- Assist in the product range management process including meeting attendance & forecast management for NPI/ upcoming deletions.
- Oversee monthly Slow-Moving & Obsolete inventory reviews.
- Key role to help coordinate data for Demand Control, Demand Reviews and Commercial Review meetings and can deputise when manager is not available for these key monthly & weekly meetings
- Leading monthly Demand Reviews with Sales and/or Customer Service team
- Leading / Assisting weekly Demand Control meeting with Demand, Supply Planning & Customer Service teams
- Responsible for all products forecast in relevant systems (OMP / SAP etc) for defined regions within the European business
- Forecast accuracy measurement, reporting and root cause analysis / review of biggest variances
- Leading the monthly SLOB Sales reviews to agree/act on key actions to drive SLOB clearance and reduced inventory as well as proactively reducing SLOB inflow. Responsible for sharing this information with the Demand SLOB lead in order for cross-functional collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Graduate calibre.
- Experience working in the Demand / Supply chain function or similar role.
- Used to working with business systems, such as SAP & OMP
- Experience collaborating with Commercial teams.
- Familiar with constructing/maintaining forecasts.
- Advanced Excel knowledge required including v-lookups, Sum-if statements and pivot tables as a minimum.
