Job description

We are dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals with dementia across Redbridge, Barnet, Hertfordshire, and London. Our community services are built on a foundation of empathy, respect, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.

As a Dementia Programme Advisor, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering innovative and person-centred activities and programs that promote cognitive, emotional, and social well-being for individuals living with dementia. Your work will positively impact the lives of our community members and their families.

This post is full time working an average of 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) You will need to be able to travel across our resources and will need a drivers licence and access to a vehicle for work.

What you will be doing:


Researching and designing best practice activities.
Delivering activities to stimulate cognitively and engage members living with dementia in a range of activities, including physical exercise and creativity.
Working across Jewish Care resources and services with the responsibility of sharing and training staff and volunteers in best practice and latest development in the field of dementia and cognitive decline.
Facilitating sessions within the Centres to role model and demonstrate how to deliver the most impactful programmes.
Working with programming teams, to support them to improve and expand their portfolio of activities.
Working in partnership with the Community Services Dementia Led to ensure that there is consistency in our approach across the Dementia services and keeping all knowledge up to date.
Facilitating activities, both in-person and virtually.
Support program evaluation and make adjustments as needed for continuous improvement.
Ensuring the safety, dignity, and respect of all participants.


You will need:


A background in health and social care, or related field is preferred.
Experience in writing and running activities/programmes
Passion for working with individuals living with dementia and a genuine commitment to their well-being.
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to politely communicate with older people and their families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative thinking and the ability to develop and adapt activities.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
A compassionate and patient nature.
Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle to travel across our resources.
