Uniqa Dental Laboratory is looking for a Dental CAM Operator / Milling & 3D Printing Technician to join our friendly team.
We are an award-winning laboratory established over a decade ago with a reputation for restorative skills and a customer-focused approach. We implement a digital workflow and work with the latest products and equipment. The laboratory itself is spacious, modern and fully air-conditioned with all the digital technology required.
Located in the heart of Wimbledon, the lab is easy to get to (reliable and quick train connections to Waterloo/Vauxhall/Clapham Junction/Earlsfield/Richmond + London Underground + trams).
What we are looking for:
- General technical skills - you should be able to find your way around technology. Experience using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and machines to create dental restorations and prostheses from digital designs is highly desirable, but not required
- Experience with libraries within CAD/CAM software (optional)
- Willingness to adapt to our requirements and standards
- Right to work in the UK is necessary
- Good communication skills and working-level English is required
- Tidy and organised person with attention to detail
You will be responsible for:
- Milling & 3D Printing following the specifications and instructions and performing quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of your work
- Selecting the appropriate material and keeping track of consumables
- Setting up, calibrating and operating 5-axis mills and 3D printers (loading the design file and monitoring the fabrication process) ensuring the quality and accuracy of the final products
- Refining including grinding, final cleaning and preparing the finished product for QC
- Ensuring that the assigned equipment and tools in the laboratory are maintained clean and safe at all times
