Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated full time Practice Manager for our newly purpose built, modern General and Specialist treatment centre in Bangor, North Wales.

You would be joining our already existing friendly and experienced team and for the right candidate we can offer full supported training and career development.

Essential requirements and skills:

- Experience in Dental Practice management or a similar healthcare management role.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

- Proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office.

- Sound financial acumen and the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Knowledge of dental industry regulations, compliance, and best practices.

- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Duties will include:

Operational, Staff and Patient Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dental Practice, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care.

- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and billing processes to maintain accurate and organized documentation.

- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure effective patient flow and optimal utilization of resources.

- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise administrative and support staff, including dental assistants, receptionists, and hygienists.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any training or development needs.

- Liaising with the local NHS teams to manage ongoing engagement in relation to meetings, development and training.

- Monitor practice finances, including budgeting, billing, and accounts receivable/payable, to ensure financial health.

- Implement strategies to improve revenue generation, control costs, and maximize profitability.

- Prepare and analyze financial reports to make informed decisions and recommendations.

- Handle patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communication professionally and courteously

- Implement patient engagement initiatives to build long-lasting relationships and loyalty.
