Our dental practice is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and responsible Dental Therapist who has the ability to work well in a small team environment. This is an entry-level position that provides you with the opportunity to learn new skills, and also develop and build your professional network. The ideal candidate will possess great personal integrity, work hard and treat patients and colleagues with respect.
Responsibilities:
- Record patients' dental histories and treatment plans in patient files.
- Clean teeth.
- Remove plaque and dental tartar from teeth.
- Examine patient's teeth and gums; take, develop, and maintain dental x-rays; explain the use of x-ray equipment to patients.
- Conduct tests to determine amount and location of dental decay or infection.
- Advise patients about keeping teeth and gums healthy, dietary tooth care practices, and home care techniques.
- Administer local anesthetics to control pain during dental treatments.
- Explain procedures to patients before they begin.
