We have an exciting opportunity to join our Risk and Assurance team as a Depot Assurance Auditor. We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business in our Northeast team with hybrid working opportunities. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus a range of benefits. You will also be willing to travel across the UK to depot locations to perform audits.

Leicester - Full time Perm- 37.5 hours- includes company car. 

This role will support the team objective of providing timely, accurate, targeted, and independent assurance over all areas of depot activity. This will Improve company performance by identifying business improvement and efficiency opportunities, including development of process change, presentation of solutions to management and assisting where required in the implementation of those solutions.

The individual will be responsible for providing assurance for accreditations to ISO and OHSAS standards. They will also be operating all at times under the principles of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors’ internationally recognised professional practices framework, including adherence to the code of ethics.

The role will mainly involve completion of assigned integrated depot audits.  Main areas covered by the audits performed will include:


Asset existence and management of assets,
Conformity with business processes in line with company procedures
Health & Safety, Environmental and Information Security compliance
Review of training records,
Review of effective use of IT systems.


 

Skills and Experience


Previous experience of either managing a depot (or similar) or auditing multiple locations. This may include management of safety procedures, handling of equipment, asset inspection, use of IT systems and related processes, and adhering to company policies.
Good planning and organising skills with an ability to demonstrate to strict deadlines to produce reports and results (essential).
Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and general PC skills (essential)
A good general understanding and knowledge of the Speedy product base (our Hire Fleet) (advantageous)
Hold and maintain IOSH accreditation in Health and Safety (desired but not a necessity)
LRQA or equivalent audit training (desired but not a necessity)
Experienced at managing stakeholders (auditee)
Relationships with senior management, up to and including regional MD grades.
