SalaryBCS Connect is currently recruiting for our client who is in the market looking to hire an experienced Depot Manager to join their business in Halesowen, West Mids.
As a Depot Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations to ensure you meet the daily demands of our clients varied customer base.
The ideal candidate will have a background in running a busy depot of drivers, generator engineers, hire controllers and sub contractors.
Job Role
- Ensuring all work in the Depot is adequately planned and organised in line with current Health & Safety legislation.
- Managing the workload for the team of engineers and hire desk staff
- Liaising with the Regional Operations Director to maintain equipment levels in line with upcoming workloads
- Route planning for both internal and external vehicles, ensuring safe delivery and collection of equipment at all times
- Carrying out inductions for new team members, providing staff with all the necessary PPE and support to carry out their daily tasks
- Updating staff with any new procedures by holding regular toolbox talks
- Ensuring adequate fire, first aid and emergency evacuation procedures have been implemented and maintained and every employee is aware of the requirements and procedures
Skills & Experience
- Experience/knowledge of temporary power would be advantageous in this role
- Minimum 3 years of management experience within a depot management role
- Strong Management Skills, able to supervise the team in the depot
- Sound commercial awareness and judgement
- Ability to prioritise work according to the demands of a busy depot
- Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 3 years
- Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels to ensure all clients receive excellent customer service at all times
Salary & Package
- 45,000 to 50,000 Per Annum
