The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Care Manager at Montagu Hall, the role is integral to the home and comes with a high level of responsibility. You will ensure the care provided is always of the highest standard and in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all team members understand the importance of compliance and are delivering the highest level of care possible to the residents at Montagu Hall.
  • To support and work alongside the Home Manager in the overall requirements regarding care and compliance within the home.
  • Ensuring all necessary audits and completed as required and any areas of concern are managed and rectified accordingly and within a timely manner.
  • Ensure the home is fully compliant in all regulatory areas and the relevant documentation supports this to evidence as and when required.
  • Support the Home Manager to ensure all CQC notifications and safeguarding referrals are completed and submitted within the required timescales.
  • Investigate any care and/or compliance inadequacies ensuring they are highlighted and addressed as and when required.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments to ascertain the suitability and care needs of all potential residents.
  • Complete and record care practice observations and support with improvements if required.
  • Assist with rota management, making sure the required level of staffing is achieved and maintained with a suitable skill mix.

Essential Skills:

· Ability to manage and oversee all elements of care and compliance within the home

· Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

· Ability to lead and manage a multi skilled team

· Ability to communicate with others at all levels

· Ability to plan and manage own workload to achieve required outcomes

· Must have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to identify areas of concern

Desirable Skills:

· Understanding of Mexborough local authority

· Experience with regulatory bodies

· Previous experience of working in a compliance focused role

· Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS)

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for care (first and foremost) and those who are keen to be the best in the sector. You will work as part of a dynamic care team, ensuring the home adheres to the necessary requirements and procedures at all times.

Hours of work:

Your hours of work will be 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday with an element of flexibility as and when required. This will equate to 40 hours per week in total.
