Job description

The University of Greenwich is a diverse community of over 20,000 students, ranked TEF Gold and in the top 15 in England for social mobility. We provide transformative experiences for students from all walks of life. Our mission is to become the best modern university in the UK by 2030 and our strategy is focused on student experience and success, knowledge exchange and applied, impactful research. Greenwich Business School (GBS) is a global community of students, staff and alumni working together to prepare individuals for the world of modern business. It is one of the largest business schools in London with over 7,000 students from over 140 countries and 280 academics supported by a superb team of professional services colleagues.  We are now seeking to appoint the Deputy Dean of GBS. Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of GBS, the Deputy Dean will provide strategic leadership within GBS, manage the Heads of School and play a leading role in the delivery of our strategic priorities. The Deputy Dean also leads on GBS’s partnership development, including international partners, industry relationships and external partnerships. You will be an experienced senior academic leader with an excellent understanding across teaching, learning, research and external engagement. You will have a successful track record of leading through change and making things happen. You will bring strong strategic and operational skills and will be able to confidently direct and support all areas of GBS, making decisions that balance innovation and risk. You will also be capable of developing strategic networks with external stakeholders to further develop GBS’s profile and reputation. You will be a passionate advocate for students and will embody our values: inclusive, collaborative and impactful. This a wonderful opportunity to join our ambitious university in an exciting leadership role. To find out more about this opportunity, please visit www.andersonquigley.com quoting reference AQ2419.
