Contract: Fixed-Term (Up to 12 Months), Full Time University College Birmingham are seeking to appoint a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for a fixed term period for our busy and friendly safeguarding team, part of Student Services. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all UCB students, aged 16+, whether studying on one of our college or university courses. The DDSL will assist the Safeguarding Manager (Designated Safeguarding Lead) in all matters relating to safeguarding by addressing concerns effectively and proactively. You will work 1-1 with students, liaising with their families or guardians, as well as advising and supporting teaching and professional services staff who raise concerns. You will understand child and adult safeguarding processes and organisations locally as well as nationally.
