In a volatile and fast evolving political, social and cultural landscape, Greenpeace's theory of change is rooted in people power. This role will be the voice of those people within the organisation - guiding our teams to use the latest in data, insight and behavioural science to turbo charge our campaigns - reaching new supporters and driving them to take impactful action.

We are looking for an experienced campaigns, communication and social change strategist to lead an ambitious project of embedding data and behavioural science informed Audience Strategy and tactics right at the heart of Greenpeace UK's campaigns, fundraising and organising.

You will oversee our digital campaigning teams, working with them to come up with smart, insight informed strategies and tactics that reach new audiences, drive and maintain engagement and deliver campaign and organisational impact across digital channels.

You'll also work hand in glove with colleagues in our data, planning and insight team - acting as the strategic interface between their expertise and campaigners, communicators, fundraisers and organisers across the organisation.

As a member of the Programme Leadership Team, you will collaborate with the Fundraising Leadership Team and across the organisation to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of our overall campaigning and fundraising strategies.

We're looking for a constructive disruptor and change agent who is committed to tackling the climate and nature crises and has the determination to defend social justice and peace.

Qualities and skills required:

·Proven track record of success in a communications/campaigns environment in the voluntary, private or public sector
·Proven experience of developing effective, insight led audience strategies and briefs, including for creative partners, and constructing multiple strand projects and implementation plans that deliver strategic outcomes
·Capable of translating a range of quantitative and qualitative data points and insights into distinctive audience intervention and engagement strategies then supporting their adaptation for campaign delivery and tactical intervention design
·Experience of working with a wide range of digital communications channels and mediums and relating complex messages to a range of audiences
·Experience of behavioural science / intervention design, specifically leveraging psychometric, social psychological, and cognitive insights to drive real-world, pragmatic behaviour change, is desirable
·Ability to engage with and lead creative and strategic processes with a wide-range of stakeholders.
·A constructive disruptor who challenges the status quo and isn't satisfied with simply accepting what has been done in the past
