The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Accounting standards, VAT, Taxation and a good working knowledge of financial computer systems, leading projects, developing teams, as well as a significant amount of experience of working in the finance department of a complex organisation. They will also have staff management experience. To make a significant contribution to the annual accounting process. To take a lead role in relevant technical accounting issues To make a contribution towards the Monthly Accounts, Quarterly Monitoring returns and Annual Financial Returns. To make a contribution towards the production of the trusts annual planning cycle. To give financial advice and support to a range of staff on a number of issues, facilitating in effective management and financial control within the department. To maintain control over the financial aspects of relevant information systems. To give quality accounting support, taking account of statutory regulations, corporate governance and proper accounting records. To project lead on specific areas of quality and process improvement in Financial Services. To be responsible for the development of staff within the Financial Services Department. To provide regular management information in relation to area of responsibility. To ensure that financial controls are maintained within Corporate Governance guidelines.
