Job description

Job details We are looking for an adaptive leader to provide vision and direction to the ongoing development of the Student Casework function at the University of Central Lancashire. The role of Deputy Head, Student Casework within the Academic Registry will lead the development, promotion and implementation of policies and procedures relating to student complaints, appeals and conduct matters.  You will provide leadership of the Student Casework function and develop strategies to improve student experience and to promote a culture of learning from students’ experiences. The post holder will ensure that policy, process and the underpinning administrative operations meet the business needs of the University and are aligned sector best practice. As a member of the Academic Registry, reporting to the Deputy Registrar (Immigration and Compliance), you will work closely with other professional services managers and academic leaders to ensure that the work of the casework team is conducted in a fair and equitable manner, aligned to the principles of natural justice. A good first degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant setting is essential, as is significant experience of leadership and management in higher education. Candidates should have a track record in driving innovation and managing successful teams. We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking individual that can support the casework team to deliver positive change, exploring and adopting new technologies to deliver a forward thinking, efficient service to staff and students across the institution. The successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate that they can inspire trust at the highest levels of the business through their integrity, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
