Deputy Headteacher

Due to the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher, our school community is looking for an enthusiastic and outstanding practitioner to join and help lead our team.

This is an exciting leadership position that would suit a highly motivated successful leader seeking a senior SLT post. Whether you are a leader looking for promotion into your first deputy head role, or an existing deputy head teacher, we want to hear from you.  

The Deputy role has a 2 day FTE teaching commitment with a job share and 3 days FTE management responsibility. This release time may be full days together or half days across the week, depending on other staffing needs.

Prospective candidates must be available to start in September 2024.

• Is an outstanding practitioner, being able to fulfil the role of the classroom teacher whilst working at a strategic level,
• Has proven leadership experience,
• Has worked in at least two different school settings,
• Can offer clear, inspirational ideas for raising educational standards in all areas of the school with the skills to support the implementation of our strategic vision,  
• Has proven impact, can lead by example and inspire, challenge and nurture our children enabling them to grow and achieve.
• Is a good team player, being able to work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance provision,
• Is able to foster good relationships with children, colleagues, parents and the wider community,
• Can work to preserve and further develop our OFSTED Good status,
• Is committed to safeguarding the welfare of our children.
