Job description

To demonstrate professional and clinical leadership in X-ray and CT ensuring the optimum use of staffing and equipment resources to promote minimal variance in approach and ensure the ongoing provision of a high quality, paediatric patient focused imaging service. To take a lead in delivering education, training and practice development within the X-ray imaging area. To act as an expert supporting all clinical staff, to ensure all specialised paediatric examinations, using a variety of radiographic imaging modalities, are performed within current Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR17), in adherence to Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulation (IR(ME)R17) and with particular regard to maintaining an appropriate atmosphere for children in hospital. To deputise in the absence of the X-ray Imaging Lead, leading and managing the X-ray team in the provision of excellent standards of paediatric imaging and performance in all areas, building relationships to support role development.
