Deputy Lead CT Radiographer (Training and Education )

Be a specialist in CT education, having highly developed specialist knowledge of CT practice, underpinned by theory and experience. Be able to prioritise your own workload, and provide training sessions for the CT radiographic teams. Ensure the department is kept up-to-date with developments and advances, and propose changes to practices in consultation with the Principal CT Radiographer (Lead CT Radiographer). Support the principal radiographer with personnel issues such as sickness meetings and in matters of performance management. These require often have very sensitive issues and will require the post holder to demonstrate highly developed levels of empathy. Lead on and participate in regular audit including ongoing IR(ME)R audit. Participate in monthly governance meetings where it will be necessary to share very complex information with a multidisciplinary team. Work with the other Band 7 radiographers to provide operational support to the wider CT team - be able to analyse complex situation, ensuring safe practice. Be able to assess and implement these highly specialist imaging procedures.
