Role: Deputy Home Manager – Childrens Residential
Salary: up to £33,376 (plus £46 per sleep-in)
As the Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager, working within a children’s Residential Home that offers support for young people whom have had traumatising childhood experiences from a young age, providing a loving home and providing nurture and support them to transition into independence.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Home Manager to develop a positive, nurturing environment
• To be responsible for the admin and childcare functions of the home in the absence of the registered manager
• Support with the training and development of employees
• Ensuring Ofsted compliance and quality standards
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Promoting quality standards, policies and procedures and legislation
• Supervision of team leaders and key workers
Requirements:
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Ideally 2 years experience within a Residential Childcare
• Creative and able to use own initiative
• Manual driving license (use of onsite vehicles)
• Have the ability to lead and make decisions, supporting the Home Manager and your team members
• Be available to work on-call and complete sleep-in shifts as and when required
