A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Nurse QualifiedDeputy Outpatient Manager to join a highly reputable private hospital based on the outskirts of Watford. The hospital is ideally situated close to London, Luton and Watford and is within easy reach of public transport links. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse to work as a Deputy Outpatient Manager leading their friendly and motivated outpatient team. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Deputy Outpatient Manager to join them. The service boasts state of the art facilities and a good CQC rating. The hospital covers a range of services including major surgery, plastics and medical patients, orthopaedics, urology and many more.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Nurse QualifiedDeputy Outpatient Manager and will be responsible for:
- Deputise for the Outpatient Manager providing support in the provision of clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department
- Keep the Outpatient Manager informed of all matters related to the safety and efficient running of the entire department
- Ensure organised and effective operations within the department
- Act as a role model and mentor to all staff providing advice and support
- Promote best practice at all times
- Manage staff rotas, balance overtime and be present at key departmental meetings
Who we're looking for
- Be NMC or registered with no restrictions on practice
- Eligible to work in the UK
- At least 2 years UK experience working in outpatients
- Experience leading a team including running shifts, dealing with complaints, line management of staff, governance etc
- Ability to motivate, support, develop, and lead the department
- A focus on positive patient and user experience
