Job description

Two Rivers Medical Centre has an opportunity for a Deputy Practice Operations Manager to join our busy practice support team, on a full-time basis.
 
The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of systems of working that improve the patients experience and outcomes within health and welfare section. They will oversee the performance of the non-clinical workforce; assist the Operations Manager with the recruitment, induction and training of non-clinical staff, the monitoring of standards and developing staff through a robust appraisal process and regular supervision. They will also support the practice complaints team. They will contribute to service planning through research and identification of new ideas.
 
The post holder will be able to manage the coordination of complex needs, engage appropriately health and social care teams and be able to reduce avoidable crises. They will have excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will provide leadership, support, inspiration and motivation to the reception team, thereby assisting with the smooth running of the practice and act as a role model, demonstrating and promoting the standards expected by the practice and creating the energy and enthusiasm for the service. They will ensure that all patients are assisted to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
