Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor International

The University of Sussex is one of the world’s leading institutions in terms of its international outlook, ranked in the Top 50 for this dimension in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2024). We are now looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) to work alongside our Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global and Civic Engagement) to develop, coordinate, and drive the University’s strategic internationalisation activities as we work to develop and implement our new strategy, Sussex 2035.

The DPVCI will be highly effective in representing the University of Sussex internationally. In addition, the DPVCI will have relevant knowledge and experience for strategically planning and shaping the University’s recruitment of international students, and will play a key role in developing global partnerships (including Trans-National Education and other collaborative provision) that maintain and strengthen the University’s international profile. The post will involve international travel across the globe, and the postholder will work cross-institutionally, collaborating with members of academic staff across all subject areas as well as staff in multiple Professional Services teams.
