Home to more than 200 nuclear facilities and the largest inventory of untreated nuclear waste in the world, Sellafield's clean up mission is internationally important and there's still much unknown about its decommissioning. Working alongside Sellafield Ltd and partners, we're helping build greater certainty every day and making demonstrable progress to create a legacy for all to enjoy. Here is what you will be working on:
  • Developing and implementing the Safety by Design strategy projects in complex, highly regulated industry
  • Developing and implementing the engineering execution strategy, including person-hour estimates.
  • Delivery of all Engineering & Technical deliverables. Identification of standards and specifications applicable
  • Progressing and reporting
  • Engineering coordination across disciplines
  • Performing appropriate engineering reviews
  • Identifying and requesting appropriate engineering & technical resources (people)
  • Approval of all engineering and technical scope changes
  • Overall management and coordination of engineering team.
  • The identification of changes in the scope of work and ensuring that appropriate change requests are current and adequate.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Relevant engineering Degree/HNC/Chartership
  • Experience of major engineering delivery on EPC projects
  • Mobilising/recruiting multi-discipline engineering design teams
  • Producing and implement engineering project execution plans
  • Developing and implementing design assurance plans
  • Producing large engineering design person hour estimates
  • Managing design contractors and interfacing with supply chain
  • Managing cost and schedule performance of large design teams
  • Knowledge of export control compliance regulations
