We are Speech and Language UK (formerly I CAN) – we want every child to face the future with confidence. For 1.9 million children in the UK learning to talk and understand words feels like an impossible hurdle. We want to reach children earlier to make sure every child has the skills to face the future. We design innovative tools and training for nursery staff and teachers, give families the confidence and skills to help their child and put pressure on politicians to prioritise support for children.
We are recruiting a Deputy Project Support Manager role across our Projects. One focus of the role will be budget monitoring and forecasting across all projects including Early Years Professional Development Programme working closely with Carol (Deputy CEO), and supporting the collaboration between EYPDP team members and other projects working closely with Emma-Jane (EYPDP Programme Lead).
The postholder will also work closely with Brenda (Project Support Manager, who will line manage the post) to provide dedicated Project Support in some specific projects and support collaborative projects across the organisation.
We’re seeking a candidate with a keen eye for detail and experience in the following areas:
· Monitoring and forecasting budgets.
· Thorough understanding of project management and experience of adapting formal methodologies to a dynamic and complex context.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and manage effective working relationships with internal, external, and senior stakeholders.
