The role:

As a Deputy Regional Security Manager, you'll have a role that is out of the ordinary. This role has geographical responsibility for Wales supporting the Regional Security Manager for West England and Wales in exploiting growth opportunities and managing threats in an assured and optimal way, by creating and maintaining a positive security environment and culture. Optimise Security to add value and protect the brand, enabling QinetiQ to retain its trusted position with its investors, customers, employees and regulators. Operate with a focus, which enables the organisation to continue to expand in an informed manner and so optimise profitable revenue generation. Ensure the integrity of the company in terms of security operations and personnel, guaranteeing compliance with requirements of Corporate Security Policy, HMG GovS007: Security and other customer security requirements, including international.

To be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Security (both internal and external), and to support transformational change in QinetiQ, proactively managing security risks and threats.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Support delivery of security service in support of UK Head of Security Services across sites in Wales, compliant with the requirements of GovS:007, QinetiQ Operating Framework and Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA) contractual requirements
  • Maintain and review the security status of QinetiQ assets in line with the company's Operating Framework.
  • Provide all aspects of security support to the business, permitting it to operate appropriately in a highly regulated environment in line with the company's Operating Framework
  • Highlight and regularly support review of Site Security Risk Registers, providing advice to the business on security risks in line with the security strategy and threats
  • Ensure all security events and incidents are reported and managed through SMART Incident Management System
  • Support Regional manager by maintaining regular direct links with the Government Intelligence Community, Police Special Branch, customers and their accreditors to ensure compliance with Government Policy and provide confidence and trust across our customer group

37-hours per week with adaptive working

Essential experience of the Deputy Regional Security Manager:

  • Experience supporting security site requirements
  • Proven track record in Security (in a defence business and in Physical and Technical Security environments would be an advantage)
  • Awareness of Security Polices as they relate to all aspects of a company's operations globally.
  • Contact with and recognition by national and international, private and public, security organisations. Subject Matter Expert for Security with relevant certifications and memberships e.g. Dip SyI, CISSP, BCI, IRM, DISA
