This is freelance, fixed term contract for services which requires self-employed status.
Contract start date: Thursday 20 June 2024 (2 days pre-prep before rehearsals start on 24 June)
Contract finish date: Saturday 03 August 2024
Subsistence, if eligible, will be paid for the whole contract.
In Rehearsal
Create a 'book' through presence in rehearsals and by communication with the Directors, Designer, Lighting Designer, Composer, Sound Designer, Musical Director or any other creative team members.
Maintain excellent communication between the rehearsal room and the rest of the organisation, by the use of rehearsal notes and production meetings, particularly with matters relating to Health & Safety and which directly affect other departments.
Monitor actors' hours and inform the Company Stage Manager / Head of Production of any union related issues which arise.
Maintain the rehearsal room in a suitable condition, and ensure rehearsal props / furniture are in place.
Assist in the creation / realisation of props or furniture.
In Performance
To cue all relevant actions in accordance with the Directors instructions.
Maintain a thorough show report.
Maintain communication with the acting company and relay any issues to the Company Stage Manager.
Health and Safety
Ensuring that Health & Safety legislation is adhered to and that safe working practices are observed in the rehearsal room.
General
To undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required by the Company Stage Manager.
