Assist the Team Leader to ensure the team meet objectives and deliver their work standards as agreed in the client’s SLA, while maintaining high technical quality and the commercial benefit to Keoghs.

Key Accountabilities
- Be a key point of contact for the unit both technically and operationally in respect of drafting and supervising the issuing of Court proceedings
In turn, work with and deputise in the absence of the Team Leader including:-
- Assist with the training, upskilling and supervision of both new starters and junior handlers through a supervision matrix to achieve core competency within 3 months of start date
- Liaise and deal with queries from handling teams throughout the unit regarding cases identified for litigation and triage/handling of the same to ensure the matter is litigated as efficiently as possible
- Act as the first point of contact for client complaints when the Team Leader is absent from the office, taking action to resolve issues as swiftly and effectively as possible, either by taking local action or by appropriately escalating through the relevant senior managers
- Supervision and coaching of litigators including those with no Financial Authority ensuring compliance with benchmarks set by Keoghs and by clients whilst driving productivity and ensuring quality of delivery is maintained at all times.
- Identify and implement appropriate learning activities to ensure the achievement of appropriate authority levels and the ongoing development of allocated team members
- Deliver on a personal caseload of high value litigation inclusive of a daily chargeable hours target to ensure those recovery matters of high value are progressed and litigated where fixed recoverable or indemnity costs can be pursued
Working Hours
35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is Parklands, Bolton 1 day a week 4 days from home
Recruitment Criteria:
- Experience in the file handing of technical and high value motor claims, preferably in a Claimant recoveries setting
- Proficient in all stages of the litigation process of motor claims and an understanding of drafting Court proceedings and the litigation process thereafter
Demonstrate some prior experience of;
- Providing Technical support to others
- Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management system, and aspects of Management Information (MI)
- Keoghs management processes (finance, people and operations)
- Dedicated Client Strategies and Service Level Agreements.
