Job description
The post holder will support the Department (Dept.) Sister/Charge Nurse in his/her general management function and in the co-ordination of a high quality service to patients and relatives, support the Dept. Sister/Charge Nurse, in the development of all aspects of nursing within Ward 2B setting through the professional development of nursing staff, the implementation of evidence based practice and clinical audit and function as the principal support to the Dept. Sister/Charge Nurse who has continuing responsibility and deputise when required. .

Must be a Registered Nurse on Part 1, level 1 of NMC Register (Child Branch).Provides evidence of experience as a Registered Nurse for 3 years with at least 2 years working within an Orthopaedic Surgery environment or an acute surgical environment.Evidence of personal and professional development.
