As a Derivatives Middle Office Associate within the Derivatives Middle Office team, you will collaborate with the Derivatives Product team to establish a comprehensive operating environment for Derivatives. Your role will involve designing and implementing solutions that fulfill business requirements across Asset Management (AM). You will provide strategic direction to operational capabilities, ensuring that we can support the growth of new businesses, products, and markets in a controlled, agile, and scalable manner.

Job responsibilities

  • Defines the end to end operating environment for Derivatives with a very strong risk and control mindset
  • Maintains and impacts efficiency gains without sacrificing controls
  • Establishes areas of improvement and implement new procedures and change existing process flows to ensure tight controls front to back
  • Leads efforts towards efficiency coupled with ever stronger controls is essential
  • Establishes strong relationships across the Business, Risk, Technology and other support groups to ensure a strong control environment
  • Partners with global leaders to ensure consistency in operating environment resiliency across all line of businesses
  • Partners with the Business to shape the Business strategy and ensure alignment with AM wide goals

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong familiarity of cross asset class expertise in the Derivatives market, with strong understanding of the evolving market structure and regulatory environment
  • Ability to demonstrate track record of collaborating with Business and Technology partners that help deliver impactful results to differentiate client service, meet or exceed business needs, and greatly improve operational capabilities
  • Inclusive leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to create a vision, and creative presence with strong credibility to establish a collaborative and flexible partnership, and interact effectively with senior Operations, Technology and Business sponsors
  • An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and across a variety of business strategies
