• Qualification in dermatology desired but not essential, experience is key!

Job description:

• As an autonomous practitioner, you'll independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients with skin conditions, providing clear information and guidance.
• Share your expertise by offering professional leadership, advice, and support to primary care staff who encounter dermatology cases.
• Equip primary care practitioners with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage common skin concerns, enhancing overall patient care.
• Collaborate with colleagues on initiatives like audits, research, and education to refine nursing practices and elevate patient services.
• Meticulously record and maintain all relevant information on the dermatology service for optimal transparency and efficiency.

You will be expected to :

• Partner with local primary care practitioners to develop strategies that empower their teams and improve community access to dermatology services.
• Take full clinical responsibility for your caseload, ensuring each patient receives individualized attention and optimal care.
• Foster patient understanding by providing up-to-date information on health promotion, skin care, and educational resources.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance dermatology care by proposing alternative practices and championing evidence-based changes.
• Collaborate with the clinical lead to develop comprehensive referral guidelines, clinical protocols, and treatment plans.
