At Artorius Faber we work with architects, interior and landscape designers on residential, commercial, and urban projects of all sizes and requirements, offering project support advice and services from sourcing stone through to installation. We're a family-owned and run British stone surfaces company with a passion for natural stone, with over 25 year's experience a belief in craftsmanship and a solid track-record of delivering innovative solutions.
About the role:
This role comes with the opportunity to progress within the Design Team, where you will gain a vast amount of experience and skills in quoting, project managing and design.
You will also be given the time, training, and expert guidance to learn a range of programmes: Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Trimble RealWorks, and Excel to name a few.
Responsibilities:
- Review drawings and emails to understand the customers' requirements.
- Provide the Design Team with measurement-based take offs, to aid them in the initial stages of quoting.
- Produce labelled drawings to help facilitate the Design Team with the earliest stages of projects, whilst also noting relevant project-based information.
- Scan, file, and document relevant information for the Design Team.
- Assist them with drawing on live projects, under the guidance of the Design team.
About you:
- A passion for design and interiors, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Good planning and organisation skills.
- Adaptable and flexible.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to be trained and mentored by experienced professionals.
- Basic knowledge of design software is a plus, but not required - we are here to help you learn!
- Background with the Adobe Suite.
- Previous experience within architecture, interior design and estimating.
- A passion for hand drawing and or computer aided design.
