Damicor are actively recruiting for a Design and Construction Project Manager to work on at Luton Airport on a brand new project.
This is an exciting role looking after the job from cradle to grave. This is a long term contract role of up to 2 years with the potential to go perm.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery on time and budget of the design and construction of the new terminal 2 car park and accesory works.
- Leadership and delivery of the NEC Design & Build contract from a client side
- Prepares the project timeline and construction schedule with the assigned Senior Project Manager or Project Manager. Updates the construction schedule to meet project deliverables.
- Manages the project risk and opportunities register, ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner to ensure project milestones/requirements are achieved. Conduct project delivery reviews, including site inspections, to monitor progress and support project-assigned team members.
- Actively manages the resolution of issues and problems, and recommends, approves, and implements modifications to the project plans, schedule, staffing, or budget as needed and in a timely manner.
- To maintain exceptional relationships with internal stakeholders, general contractors, subcontractors, design partners and other team members. Drives contractor performance to ensure high quality work is produced in adherence to budget, schedule and agreed quality/specifications
- Leads delivery of the Health & Safety plan, in support of the Company’s safety culture throughout project delivery and with all colleagues and 3 rd parties leading to an injuryfree environment.
- To ensure that projects are built and delivered with the specified level of quality and to meet or exceed London Luton Airport requirements.
- Able to effectively communicate the project’s vision and goals. Communicates with key business leaders, owners and partners to provide updates on the status of projects, surfaces and addresses concerns, and plans specific actions as needed to ensure the on-time and on-budget completion of the project
- Leads and prepares agendas for various meetings such as project planning meetings, project review meetings, etc. as required for project milestone delivery.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience of similar scale design/construction projects.
- Candidate should have Construction/ civil engineering background. Airports/aviation will be a plus, but not essential.
