Sphere Solutions are assisting to recruit a Design Coordinator for a construction and development company in the heart of Cornwall.
The role will be all-encompassing, including: manage the review and development of detailed project information, section agreements and statutory approvals, contractors design information, quality and compliance from pre-acquisition through to handover and aftercare.
The purpose of this role is to assist with the design and technical aspects of residential projects, working closely with the Technical Manager.
Key areas will include the coordination of design and technical information such as drawings and specifications, reviewing detailed project information, contractors design information, quality and compliance from pre-acquisition through to handover and aftercare. This is a collaborative role, working with the wider team, promoting good quality, sustainable design principles.
The Person:
- Experience working in the development/construction sector as a Design Coordinator on high quality residential projects from inception to completion
- Additional experience in other sectors will be advantageous such as commercial, mixed use and/or regeneration
- Full project lifecycle awareness
- Strong Design / Technical review capabilities
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- A strong team player, able to offer a ‘hands-on’ and collaborate approach
- Architecture, Architectural technology, engineering, or construction related degree or other relevant technical qualification
- Professional accreditation and/or CSCS card desirable
