Are you a creative and talented engineer with excellent SolidWorks skills? Do you have experience in the Fragrance, POP, POS, Print or Packaging sectors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Design Development Engineer to join an established team and produce innovative and cost-effective solutions for their clients.

A few things you'll be responsible for:

• Developing design concepts and prototypes based on client briefs and specifications.
• Supporting the Prototyping, Estimating and Client Services teams with technical expertise and guidance
• Conducting site surveys and feasibility studies as and when required
• Ensuring the quality and sustainability of the products and processes
• Preparing drawings and planograms for production and installation

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree or similar further education qualifications within engineering or a related field
• High proficiency in SolidWorks (ideally CSWP certified) and MS Office software.
• Ability to think laterally, create solutions to a given design brief, and work under pressure.
• Self-motivation, pro-activity, inquisitiveness, and like a challenge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a fast-paced Fragrance, POP, POS, Print or Packaging industries.

We offer a competitive remuneration package of between 40,000 and 45,000 depending on experience, as well as an attractive benefits package. You will also have the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects with some of the leading brands in the industry.

Please note, this would not suit a recent graduate without experience, nor is it a graphic design, architectural design, furniture design or structural design role. We are also giving preference to those within a reasonable commute of Leicester (20 / 25 miles) rather than those looking to relocate.
