Design Engineer

Design Engineer required for global manufacturer of PCB; parts based here in Wiltshire. Working on a full-time day shift basis, Monday to Friday, offering a salary up to GBP50k, this exciting career opportunity combines both your manufacturing and electronic Design Engineering design skills. Working as part of a highly successful production and engineering team, you will report to the key stakeholders and engineering management team.

Ideally educated to Electronic Engineering level, this permanent position is best suited to an engineer who can demonstrate previous design experience, preferably using AutoCAD, with both 2D and 3D modelling skills. Responsible for designing high value PCB and electronic component parts for the global automotive market.

Naturally, the ability to read and work with complex drawings and customer specification is key, analysing each customer's needs and determining the requirements, the capacity, and cost for developing products and parts. You will work in collaboration with the production team, assessing prototype designs at the pre and post manufacturing stage, ensuring that accuracy and quality of finished product meets with the needs of the customer.

As Design Engineer you will have at least 2-5 years previous experience gained in a similar field, now looking for your next career opening, gaining further experience and professional development. You will possess excellent levels of verbal and written communication skills, having advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) including further computing and programming skills.
