In this role, , you will be responsible for the provision of technical and engineering expertise to help deliver sustainable business growth.
You will lead on the engineering requirements of the business, including the improvement of current engineering processes and the introduction of new products and processes.
Alongside the Depot Manager you will assist in the training and development of a small team of Workshop Operatives, ensuring the operation adheres to quality, cost and time requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
· Manage and maintain engineering design requirements using relevant software, e.g., CAD and engineering calculations
· Act as a technical authority on engineering matters, internally and externally
· Support pricing for bespoke design requirements
· Develop and support improvement modifications to Marwood standard equipment.
· Support the improvement of efficiency and performance of drawings, machinery, equipment and systems.
· Research and determine viability of proposed products
· Evaluate prototypes and their designs
· Integrate theoretic designs with workshop capability
· Training and development of workshop staff
Main Requirements:
· Ideally time served, with degree level qualifications in an engineering discipline or have significant relevant experience in a similar role.

· Strong capability in using engineering related software e.g. Solidworks
·
· Self-motivated and strong organizational skills
· Strong ability to mentor and develop others
