Our client, an established and reputable oil & gas company based in Dyce, is seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As the successful candidate for this permanent position, you'll be responsible for designing innovative solutions within hydraulic systems and pressure vessels using API standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering
- Certification of competence with AutoCAD software
Skills:
As our ideal candidate has experience working on complex projects that require thorough knowledge of hydraulics design principles alongside proficiency with Mathcad calculations.
Additionally, familiarity with different industry standards such as API 6A/17D/17G/NACE MR0175 will be advantageous while creating robust designs within challenging environmental conditions.
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to -
1) Create detailed technical drawings utilizing AutoCAD software tools from initial concept sketches through final production-ready models;
2) Use your strong understanding of hydraulic system components like pumps motors valves hoses fittings etc., along-with relevant mathematical modelling techniques (such as Finite Element Analysis - FEA), which help ensure optimal performance characteristics under all operating regimes,
3) Work closely together across various departments including R&D teams ensuring new products meet customer requirements whilst adhering strictly towards quality control procedures.
Salary Package:
