Design Engineer

Our client
Our client is an expanding engineering business continue to invest extensively in new product development to support their future growth, as a result they are looking to appoint an additional Mechanical Design Engineer into their established team.
The opportunity
As part of the Design Team you will be responsible for the design of complex products to meet global customer requirements in a variety of sectors.  You will also be liasing closely with the client to be involved extensively in the management of the project for the client from design through manufacture through to delivery, in addition you will be responsible for the engineering calculations to ensure product meets industry regulations.
About you
As a degree qualified mechanical Design Engineer (or HNC with relevant experience), you will have considerable experience in the design and delivery of complex engineering products or components.  With extensive experience in design and DFMEA, you will also have experience in engineering calculations.  With well developed communication skills you will be able to give confidence to customers, but also the ability to discuss complex engineering requirements at all levels in manufacturing including the shop floor.
