Pipework and Valve design, Bradford, up to £36k pa, early finish Friday, interesting projects, progression available

Mechanical Design Engineer required for pipework and vale system design for a range of plant equipment.

Working in a multi-disciplined design team on full life cycle projects, producing drawings for manufacture and undertaking FEA, working on multiple projects in a faced paced environment.

As The Mechanical Design Engineer you role will include:

• Produce drawings from enquiry and project life cycle
• Ascertaining preliminary and detailed design, project requirements and solutions
• Produce detailed P & ID and GA Drawings using Auto desk inventor
• Produce accurate bills of materials
• Manage design phase from project concept to design approval
• Work to tight deadlines and project milestones
• Work independently on your own initiative
• Ensure design compliance with all legal regulations, associated industry policies and customer specifications.
• Raise action logs to support corrective action and root cause analysis

The person

• ONC, HND or Degree qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline.
• Experienced in the production of P & ID's
• Proficient in the use of 3D CAD Packages such as SolidWorks or Inventor
• Able to handle multiple project independently
• Fully understands all aspects of the design process
• Self-motivated with good organisational skills.
• A self-starter looking to grow their skills as an engineer
