Design Manager – Manufacturing, Co Antrim
As a key member of the senior management team, the successful Design Manager will be responsible for the production, quality and management of drawing and specifications to customer requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.

Responsibilities:
- As part of the senior management team contribute to the development of relevant aspects of the business strategy and operations
- Responsible for the effective operation of the design department including management of design engineers.
- Ensure legislative requirements are met and adhered to.
- Ensure drawings, specifications and technical requirements are prepared for Customers, Sales & Production as required
- Certify specifications received from the sales department
- Assist with costing of Products
- Assist in Development of New Products; Modify existing products for efficiency and cost reasons
- Management of Design Changes
- Maintain the production schedules
- Ensure all functionally checks are completed prior to delivery
- Contribute to improving production techniques
- Liaise with and assist Production Managers to ensure Quality and On time Delivery of Product
- Assist stores personnel with material management issues and cost management
- Report on feedback and improvements through assessing customer concerns
Criteria:
- Qualified to degree level in Engineering or related
- Previous experience of Solidworks
- Exceptionally well developed interpersonal skills with effective influencing skills
- Evidence of effective organisational, planning and time management skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
- Previous people management experience is highly desirable, however candidates looking for that next step up will be considered
Salary is in the region of £50k depending upon experience.
